Have you had your flu jab yet?

With winter fast approaching the common cold is an inevitable but this is just the start of the germs that this season brings with it.

The NHS has restarted it’s campaign this month advising the public to see if they are eligible for their free flu jab.

The vaccination is a protection from the flu virus which stops complication from the illness developing. People who are considered high risk are offered the jab free of charge on the NHS, these people include; pregnant women, are aged over 65, have certain medical conditions as well as others.

If you are not covered by the NHS to get the vaccine for free, you can pay to get yourself covered. It is advisable but not necessary to get. The jab will set you back anywhere between £8-£15 at most leading pharmacies around the UK.
