Protesters angry over potential fracking go ahead

A group of protesters are confident a potential fracking in the Forest of Dean will not go ahead. Council members have been at Shire Hall discussing the matter and whether permission should be awarded.

A spokesperson outside the hall said, “I don’t believe it will go ahead because I don’t think there’s any chance of the public letting it go ahead”.

Concerns have been raised against fracking with activists stating there is high risk of environmental damage to human health as well as livestock, along with the economic and financial difficulties that are likely to arise.
