Student boxes for breast cancer

UniVictoria Baskettversity of Gloucestershire student Victoria Baskett is taking part in a novice boxing match in efforts to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK. After losing her grandmother to cancer recently, Victoria wanted to do something for charity. She has already participated in many charity events for including Swim for Macmillan earlier this year.

The match will take place on the 18th of December, and is just one of many charity matches being held across the country. Each boxer has to raise a minimum of £50 in order to compete as well as sell 10 tickets to the event. All proceeds are given to Cancer Research UK.

The events are led by the company Ultra White Collar Boxing who help organise the event as well as provide spaces to train. All participants go through 8 weeks of training under ex-professional boxers to provide them with the necessary skills to keep it safe.

To help support Victoria you can either buy a ticket to the match here. Or donate to her JustGiving page.
