What to do in Gloucestershire this half term

The October half term has began, the weather may not be that great but here’s my guide on things you can do with the kids this half term.

  1. Slightmare at Over Farm, Gloucester on Monday 24th October

2. A trip to Cineworld to watch The Secret Life of Pets, Finding Dory or Ice Age: Collision Course

Cineworld are working with Children in Need and have said that during half term all proceeds taken from screenings of The Secret Life of Pets, Finding Dory and Ice Age: Collision Course will go to BBC’s Children in Need.

These are  3 of the summer’s hottest films and now’s the time to watch them if you haven’t previously had a chance.

 

 

3) A day out with Thomas the Tank Engine at Dean Forest Railway

This is a must do for all train lovers out there……

From Friday 28th to Sundy 30th Thomas the Tank Engine and friends will be at Dean Forest Railway in Lydney allowing children to ride on a steam train and shake hands with the fat controller.

This will be a fun filled day of face painting, storytelling, Punch and Judy shows and lots more.

 

4) Lego workshops at Slimbridge Wetland Centre

Lego building skills will be put to the test from the 20th-28th October as lego enthusiasts compete against each other to create a model frog.

There will be one hour workshops during the event where visitors can take part in 3 activities during the hour. After building a frog you will get the chance to build a lego car which will be tested by approved Lego trained course leaders.

 

 

5) A day of trampolining at Jumptastic

Jumptastic in Gloucester is heaven for trampoline lovers, with 8 different activities you can do as much trampolining as your heart desires.

You can take part in Toddlertastic, Fitastic, Clubtastic, tricktastic and many more themed jumps.

This is the perfect way to keep the kids entertained whilst ensuring that they’ll get a good nights sleep.
