There’s nothing quite as comforting as an autumnal walk through crunching orange leaves and frost bitten air, followed by a trip for a hot coffee (or tea if that’s your preference)
Gloucestershire has a lot to offer, and with the rise in the popularity of plant-based options, local businesses have shone with their ability to adapt to the increase in demand for alternatives.
And the latest addition to the sea of alternative coffee shops, is Lynwood & Co. in Cirencester.
The coffee shop is consistently bustling, and the young, trendy team of staff makes for a friendly visit.
Which makes it no surprise that it has been voted Best Coffee shop of the year 2016 at the Cotswold Life Food and Drink Awards and also featured in The Guardian’s list of the top 50 breakfast places in the UK.
The store, which has now been open for 6 weeks, boasts fresh bakes and cakes, and its lunch menu has plenty of recommendations, most of which can be veganised.
“What’s great to see is local businesses getting back on their feet after what has been a rough couple of years” Said Marie Saunders, local to Cirencester.
The chain have also made the switch to eco coffee cups, and wooden cutlery, which is much more sustainable than plastic.
Its meat and dairy ingredients are also locally sourced, the company is really striving to make conscious changes
Overall, its atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a cozy afternoon
Its other Gloucestershire stores can be found in Lechlade and Fairford.
