Prolific Cheltenham shoplifter receives ban

A woman from Cheltenham has been banned from all but five shops after a string of thefts dating back to January.

Alisha Parke, 28, of princess Elizabeth way, who accumulated over £6,000 worth of stolen goods in the ten month period appeared at Cheltenham magistrates court to receive her Criminal Behaviour order.

The CBO will see her banned from all shops in both Cheltenham and Gloucester, for the next two years, except for a pharmacy, Farm Foods and Iceland both located on Edinburgh Place, Family Shopper on the High Street and the Post Office on Tewkesbury Road.

A spokesman from the Cheltenham local policing team, told the Gloucestershire echo ‘Parke has plagued Cheltenham with her shoplifting for a long time.

‘We strongly believe that we should do everything we can to support shop owners and protect their customers so that they can shop in a safe environment.

‘If she breaches this order she commits a criminal offence and runs the risk of being sent to prison.’
