The most common crimes in Cheltenham are anti-social behaviour, with 1727 people arrested, accounting for over 45% of total crimes in Cheltenham between October 2016 and September 2017.

Next on the list of highest crimes committed are violence and sexual offences, totalling 15%.

Shoplifters round up the top three as 455 people were arrested for the crime.

However the biggest surprise of all is that of all the arrests made by police, 68% resulted in no further action and just 8% of offenders were actually dealt with in court.
