Big plans for the Brewery Quarter development

The Brewery Quarter has been undergoing major development, with a new Premier Inn and Wilko’s coming to the area.

Cheltenham Borough Council plans to improve the economy by retaining and growing existing employment levels and maximising local employment. They are also looking to improve the Cheltenham shopping experience and revitalise neighbourhood shopping zones.

They aim to do this by extending the Brewery Quarter, which will play a vital role in the overall regeneration of the Lower High Street.

The scheme’s budget is £30 million and members of the public would like to see stores such as Krispy Kreme, Zara, Mac, Urban Outfitters, Disney Store and Pizza Hut.

Phase 2a of the Brewery’s redevelopment finished earlier this year. Phase 2b is currently underway with work beginning in September,2016 and targeted to finish in November, 2016.
